Come to Lavethan for a holiday week of music and Alexander Technique 24th to 30th August - For 6 musicians and 6 Alexander teachers

Judith Kleinman and Peter Buckoke would like to invite you to join them at Lavethan, a beautiful estate in Cornwall for a week of immersion in music and the Alexander Technique. Judith and Peter are two of the most experienced Alexander teachers who specialise in working with musicians. They have been teaching at the Royal College of Music for well over 30 years and are full of enthusiasm for passing on their understanding of this hugely valuable approach for all musicians.

We can offer you this opportunity at a very reasonable all-inclusive fee. Once you have arrived at Lavethan, everything will be included in the price of the course, i.e. the accommodation, food, tuition, talks, discussions, musical opportunities etc.

Course fees: Shared accommodation, £800 - Single accommodation, £900

You will live in beautiful accommodation, eating delicious home-made food – all diets will be catered for by the in-house cooks.

There will be opportunities to play music with other musicians and explore what the Alexander Technique can do for you and your music making, in a very supportive environment.

All participants will be like minded and open-hearted, interested in personal growth in music and everyday life.

On this course, there will be a mix of young Alexander teachers and trainees who will work with the musicians and music students throughout every day of the course. The Alexander teachers will have experience in working with musicians and may well be musicians themselves – they will be keen to develop their expertise under the guidance of Judith and Peter.

There will be ample opportunity for chamber music as well as working on your individual musical development. There is a small concert hall at Lavethan that will be available for anyone who would like to perform towards the end of the week, but there will be no pressure to perform if you would rather not.

Swim everyday if you wish - how about a dip before breakfast?

Walk in the extensive grounds of this beautiful estate

There is a mature pond teaming with wildlife.

If you have an interest in the Alexander Technique and would like to experience a creative and informal way of delving into practising, rehearsing, and performing music for a week in this beautiful environment - sign up for this course as soon as possible. The places will be limited to 6 musicians/music students and 6 Alexander teachers/final year trainees.
